What do I need to have a website?
For any website you need (at minimum) two things -
1. A domain name (ex. mydomainname.com)
2. Hosting space for your files
When a user inputs your domain name (ex. www.mydomainname.com)
in their browser (ex. Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, Firefox,
etc...), the domain name points the browser to files on your
server (where all your files are stored).
How much hosting space do I need?
The amount of hosting you require is based on two major
factors -
1.The hosting space you need for actual files. Larger files
(videos, music, etc) require more storage space (MB's, GB's,
etc...).
2. The amount of bandwidth you require. The more traffic
(users viewing your site) your site receives, the more bandwidth
you need.
Where do I purchase a
domain name and/ or hosting space?
You can purchase Domain Names and hosting packages through
a variety of companies online. We use BlueStream

* It is always a good idea to contact your website developer
before you purchase your hosting account. They will be able
to inform you on the best plan for your project.
*Remember to save any usernames/ passwords you enter while
setting up your account, and any emails you receive.
If you are having problems viewing entire websites, or portions
of certain websites, make sure that your Flash Player is
up-to-date.
