NEW YORK CITY’S FIRST ANIMAL ADOPTION MAP PUTS NEW YORKERS ON THE “TRAILS TO TAILS”



September 21, 2004 -- New York City’s most adoptable dogs, cats, rabbits and animals are right around the corner— the fact is - many New Yorkers don’t know it! That should change soon with the premiere of Trails to Tails - New York City’s first free 5-borough animal adoption map.

Trails to Tails is for New Yorkers who want to adopt in their own neighborhood - making the search for a companion animal literally right around the corner. Trails to Tails introduces map users to their neighborhood animal shelters and rescue organizations make adopting and access to pet support resources more accessible than ever.

Equally important, by connecting animal lovers to their animal rescue community, Trails to Tails increases opportunities for neighbors to support their local animal rescue community by knowing where to volunteer, bring donations and support the ongoing needs for those helping homeless animals.

What you will find in Trails to Tails:
- 70 animal shelters & rescue organizations of the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals
